The first two things on my list are building upgrade packages and generated appup files. One thought I had was to go even so far as to support building RPMs and and debian packages on applicable platforms. To that end I wanted to send a kick off email to get feedback on things in this area that need improvement or are completely missing. What do you guys think?
It looks cool, but it'd be nice if it the SCM support stuff could be
used to generate relups against a commit or tag, so you could avoid
having to keep around a copy of the directory. I guess that's somewhat
tricky to do though, since it looks like you need a release to compare
against, not the old code.
Also, RPM/deb packaging would be cool, although I have a feeling the
packaging people will have fits about erlang app releases including the
whole VM and lots of the stdlib.
