Riak on Mac OSX 10.7.5

No quotes and "echo $IFS" shows a blank line.

The sequence of commands succeeded and I could start the server. But
it gave a message as:

!!!!
!!!! WARNING: ulimit -n is 256; 4096 is the recommended minimum.
!!!!

Is that normal ?

How do I know if the server has started properly or not ?

log/server.log shows ...
